Pre-trial Strategies

We work on your case immediately.
Many attorneys don't do anything before appearing at your pretrial conference weeks, maybe months, after your arrest. Those same attorneys intend to enter a plea at that pre-trial. By the time a pre-trial is held, it may be too late to obtain critical evidence available for your defense. More importantly, you've spent thousands of dollars, but the attorney hasn't actually worked on your file.
On the day you retain an attorney with the Maze Legal Group, we file extensive demands for preservation and production of crticial evidence, including videotape evidence. We follow up those demands up with motions for the Court to compel the production of that evidence. We serve subpoenas on the police and file Freedom of Information Act requests.
We work dilligently to obtain all videos of the arrest and videos of the chemical testing procedures. We obtain recordings of the police officer's radio transmissions. We obtain and review the PBT and Datamaster simulator logs. We compel the police to produce copies of documents that the police rarely release to other attorneys, who often times have never heard of these documents.
Because police and prosecutors routinely fail to provide access to the discovery we request, we often times obtain dismissals for our clients regardless of the merits of the prosecutor's case.
Following discovery, we carefully review the evidence. Our attorneys understand how to analyze the officer's reports, the various documents relating to chemical testing, and how to review the officer's field sobriety testing methods.
Extensive motions challenging the stop, the arrest, the field sobriety tests, and the breath test results routinely produce favorable results for our clients. Depending upon the facts of any particular case, there may be dozens of additional motions and hearings.
We cannot guarantee a result or specific outcome, but we can guarantee that the prosecutor, the police, the court, and you will be satisfied with the fight that is put up.
